Livingstone Falls to Bethune-Cookman In HBCU Hoops Invitational

Kissimmee, FL- Livingstone College women's basketball closed out the HBCU Hoops Invitational with an 88–67 setback against Bethune-Cookman at State Farm Field House. The Lady Blue Bears battled throughout, but a strong start and late surge by the Wildcats proved decisive.

Bethune-Cookman jumped out to a 26–16 lead after the first quarter and maintained control despite Livingstone's improved shooting in the second half. The Wildcats shot 45.1% from the field and knocked down 10 three-pointers, including four from Daimoni Dorsey, who led all scorers with 24 points.

Top Performers for Livingstone:

Breasia Coit powered the offense with 16 points and 12 rebounds for her second straight double-double.
Boston Bates added 12 points and four boards.
Jasiyah Crawford filled the stat sheet with 11 points, 10 assists, and 12 rebounds—recording a triple-double.
Damaria Moree chipped in nine points and two steals, while Destiny Drakeford provided a spark off the bench with nine points.

The Lady Blue Bears shot 37.1% from the floor and dominated the glass with 48 rebounds, including 19 offensive boards. However, Bethune-Cookman capitalized on turnovers, scoring 23 points off giveaways and adding 25 fast-break points.

Livingstone continues its road stretch and will face Virginia Union on Saturday, December 13, at 2:00 p.m. in Richmond, VA.
