Baltimore, MD. - Livingstone women's basketball faced off with Bluefield State to kick off day two of the 2024 Food Lion CIAA Tournament. While the Blue Bears trailed for a large portion of the game, they continued to keep it within reach with tough defense and well-timed shots. The loss ends the 2023-24 campaign for the Blue Bears while the Big Blue advance to the second round of the tournament.
Freshman
Nielle Reaves capped off her impressive season with arguably the best performance of her young career. She continued to show a strong on-ball presence, netting tough shots in the paint while also being a strong force from behind the arc as well. She finished tied for game-high 20 points on 8-11 shooting including 4-5 from downtown. Senior
Jamiah Lane also had a solid game for Livingstone, totaling 12 points on 6-8 shooting while adding six rebounds and two blocks.
The Blue Bears conclude the season at 7-16, having shown a lot of promise. They graduated five seniors but will look to add fresh faces and make a run at the 2024-25 conference title in the next semester.
