Livingstone Women's Basketball Falls to Augusta University, 64-52
Salisbury, N.C- The Livingstone College Women's Basketball team faced a tough challenge against Augusta University, losing 65-52 in their latest matchup.
Morgan Kelson led the charge for Livingstone with 12 points, shooting 5-17 from the field and grabbing 7 rebounds in 29 minutes of play. Thalia Carter also had a solid performance, contributing 8 points and adding 5 rebounds.
Bria Griffith provided a spark off the bench, scoring 11 points and pulling down 5 rebounds. Boston Bates chipped in with 6 points, while Breasia Coit added 4 points and 5 rebounds.
Despite Livingstone's efforts, Augusta University was able to establish a strong defensive presence, limiting the Blue Bears' shooting opportunities and forcing 17 turnovers. Livingstone's offense struggled to find consistency, shooting just 33% from the field (21-63) and 15% from beyond the arc (3-20).
The Lady Blue Bears are eager to bounce back in their upcoming game as they travel to face USC Aiken on Saturday, December 14th, with tip-off set for 2 p.m.
