SALISBURY, N.C. - Livingstone women's basketball were back on the road Saturday afternoon as they headed out west for a non-conference bout with Mars Hill. They kept the game close early but a late push by the Lions helped them claim a 78-59 victory.
Seniors
Jamiah Lane and
Andre'sia Alexander led the scoring efforts for the Blue Bears, netting 16 points apiece. Lane enjoyed her third-consecutive game in double-digits and added six rebounds, while Alexander managed to swipe three steals and dish out three assists. Junior
Morgan Kelson made her presence known on the defensive side of the ball, as she snagged 10 total rebounds while swatting away two blocks and grabbing two steals.
The loss dropped Livingstone down to 4-10, 2-8 CIAA while Mars Hill improved to 9-11, 3-7 SAC.
