Although down by six at the end of the first quarter, Livingstone's Lady Blue Bears went on a 34-18 run over the next two periods to claw back in front and eventually defeat Elizabeth City State, 56-51, Thursday night in New Trent Gymnasium.
Daisa Harris scored a team-leading 17 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.
Adel Allen added 12 points with
Daijah Turner coming off the bench to score 10 points.
Despite a size disadvantage, LC was able to take advantage of 20 ECSU turnovers, converting them to 18 points.
With the win, LC's ladies improve to 10-10 overall and extend their current winning streak to three. ECSU falls to 8-13.
Next up the Lady Blue Bears will host Winston-Salem State, Saturday, February 1 in a battle for third place in the CIAA Southern Division standings. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m. in New Trent Gymnasium.
