Softball to host Fayetteville State
SALISBURY – The Livingstone College softball team host Fayetteville State University in a CIAA Southern Division doubleheader twin bill on Wednesday, Apr. 24 at Jaycee Optimist Park, for their final regular-season home game. The games will begin at 1 p.m.
Three seniors will be recognized in between games as a Blue Bear.
The Lady Blue Bears (0-24, 0-16 CIAA) looks to turn this around.
Freshman Jamie Tolkkinen is batting .320 with five runs, six eight and a slugging percentage of also .440, while freshman
Rebecca Brown is batting .308, including five runs, eight hits and five RBI's.
As a team, the Lady Blue Bears are sporting a .165 ERA giving up 113 earned runs on 142 hits in 47 innings pitched with 13 strikeouts. On the mound, freshman Brown has appeared in six games striking out six batters.
FSU (7-23 overall, 7-9 CIAA) currently has a 4-6 divisional record.
