LC Softball fall in doubleheader, 18-0, 15-4

SALISBURY - The Livingstone College softball team open the 2019 home season at Jaycee Optimist Park and fell in two games against Bluefield State Sunday afternoon. The Lady Blue Bears fell 18-0 and 15-4 in the second game of the double header.

The Blue Bears (0-10) offense had a quiet day, going down in order. Rebecca Brown started in the circle for Livingstone in game one and would suffer the loss, allowing 17 hits, 13 walks and on strikeout.

The Blue batted two runs in the first inning, five in the second two in the third five in the fourth and four in the fifth.  

In game two of the doubleheader, the bright spot for the Lady Blue Bears when Brown homered a dinger over left center field bringing in three runs.

LC got their three hits of the day from Jamie Tolkkinen, who got a double along with Dahlia Dumas, Tyonna, Wilkes and Lauryn Gray for the Lady Blue Bears.
