Lady Blue Bears crush Morris College 90-66

Livingstone's women's basketball team jumped out to a 30-9 lead in the first quarter and never looked back as the Lady Blue Bears defeated Morris College 90-66 inside New Trent Gymnasium Tuesday evening.

Scoring 39 points off 16 Hornet turnovers for the game, LC's offensive explosion was its second best output of the young season.

After spotting Morris a 2-0 lead, the Lady Blue Bears went on a 23-2 run holding the Hornets to nine first quarter points.

Senior Darra Walker (25 pts) and Senior Daisa Harris (21 pts) led the team in scoring with Junior Daijah Turner (18 pts) and Senior Georgia Campbell (10 pts) also scoring in double figures.

Senior Adel Allen just missed a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds. She also was credited with seven assists.

With the win, the Lady Blue Bears improve to 2-3 on the season.  Their next game in a three-game homestand will be against Virginia State, Thursday, December 5 in New Trent Gym.  Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
