School Records Broken Again for Livingstone Indoor Track & Field Finn Pincus Invitational
ROANOKE, VA – Livingstone's Shania Darrell placed second in the 60m hurdles Saturday at the Finn Pincus Invitational. School record were broken this weekend in Roanoke.
The LC Sprint Medley Relay team comprised of men's quad of Khalil Hayes, Daveon Howard, Cameron Cummingham, and Antoine Ewell placed second in the Men's 1600m relay (3:46.34).
In the women's 1600m relay team was Jaela Norman, Shakeynah Mays, Shania Darrell and Gabrielle Glasco placed second in the event with a time of (4:30.62). These times were are the PR and school records.
Gabrielle Glasco was Livingstone's top performer in the 1000m. The junior finished sixth and recorded a 3:20.01 time to break a school record. Antoine Ewell set a new personal best of 2:48.21 in the 1,000 meters, shaving 11 seconds off his PR.
Ashley Wingo placed eighth and broke a school record in the weight throw. Wingo threw 46'7.50. She also placed eighth in the shot put with a throw of 39'4.50. Teammate Hydia Davis came in right behind Wingo with a throw of 38'7, to take ninth. Katrina Wade came in at the 10th position throwing 36'11 for the Lady Blue Bears.
Jaela Norman set a PR in the long jump and placed fourth. She landed in the pit with a jump of 16'9.25. Norman jumped 34'10.50 to placed third in the Triple Jump also setting a PR for her.
NEXT UP: The Blue Bears return to Winston-Salem for the CIAA Championships on Sunday and Monday, Feb. 9-10, at the JDL Fast Track in Winston, Salem, N.C.
