WBB Falls to Queens, 77-56

CHARLOTTE - The Livingstone College Lady Blue Bears wanted to end 2018 on a winning note, however, Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team took that away from them defeating Livingstone 77-56 in a non-action on Sunday afternoon inside Curry Arena.
 
Livingstone (3-8), started on a 12-5 run behind nine points from Kayla Searcy. The Royals went on to tie the score at 14-14 on back-to-back free throws. Queens went ahead 20-14 to end the quarter.
 
With 2:44 remaining in the fourth, Queens pushed its lead to a 20-point advantage.

The Lady Blue Bears shot 34.3 percent from the field and held to a 42-36 advantage in total rebounds, including 15 on the offensive end of the floor. Queens forced Livingstone into 27 total turnovers and converted those miscues into 31 total points.
 
Searcy finished the game with a game-high 21 points to go along with 10 rebounds.
 
The Lady Blue Bears return to action Wednesday, January 3, when they take on South Atlantic Conference opponent Tusculum University in Greenville, Tennessee at 4 p.m.
