Lady Blue Bears Falls to Va. Union

RICHMOND - Livingstone College Lady Blue Bears fell to the Lady Panthers of Virginia Union University 82-64, on Saturday, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Daisa Harris was one of three Lady Blue Bears in double figures. She led the team with 17 points. Kyala Searcy and Adel Allen scored 15 and 12 respectively.

Virginia Union University's Ifunanya Okoye, led the team in double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds, while another Lady Panther, Jasmine Carter, had a double-double of her own with a team-high 15 rebounds and 14 points.

The Lady Blue Bears shot 40% from the field making 24 of 60 shots and went 9 of 24 from behind the arch.  From the line LC went 50% connecting on 7 of 14.

With the win the Lady Panthers' record is 9-1 overall and 1-1 in the CIAA.  Livingstone falls to 3-7 overall and 0-1 in the CIAA.
Livingstone will face the Lady Lions of Lincoln University on Monday, December 17, at 5:30 p.m.
