LC WBB Falls to ECSU, 84-57
ELIZABETH CITY — Livingstone's women's basketball fell to the Lady Vikings of Elizabeth City State 84-57, Monday evening in the R.L. Vaughan Center. This is the Lady Blue Bears 11th straight loss.
Kyala Searcy scored 14 for Livingstone, while Jade Porter had 10.
The Lady Vikings led 50-23 at halftime. ECSU shot 42.9 percent from the field, 20 percent from behind the arc, and 75 percent from the foul line during the second half; while holding the Lady Blue Bears to shooting under 33.3 percent from the field, 30 percent from behind the arc, and 56.3 percent from the free-throw line.
Livingstone committed 30 turnovers and shot 32.2 percent from the field, 31.3 percent from downtown, and 56 percent from the line for the game, while Elizabeth City State shot 43.3 percent from the floor, 28.6 percent from behind the arc, and 77.8 percent from the line;
The Lady Blue Bears host Southern Division rival Winston-Salem State University on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 2:00 p.m.
