Searcy's 22 points wasn't enought as LC falls to Bowie St., 74-62

Livingstone mounted a rally late in the final period, behind Searcy. A 3-pointer with 3:48 left pulled Livingstone to 66-60, and at the 3:04-mark to make it 66-62 with two free throws.

The Bulldogs improve to 12-3 overall and 51 in CIAA play. The Lady Blue Bears drop to 5-10 and 0-5 in league play.

LC shot 32.8 percent (20 of 61) from the field and 21.7 percent (5-of-23) from the three-point line while making 17 of 26 (65. percent) shots from the free throw line.

Freshman Taylor Perkins contributed 10 points for the Lady Blue Bears followed by teammate Nina Robinson who added 10 points and five rebounds.

Kyah Proctor scored a game-high 24 points for the Bulldogs, seven coming in the fourth period. Sade Chatman followed with 17 points while teammates Kyaja Williams and Pere Alexander grabbed 13 and 12 rebounds, respectively.

Livingstone returns to action on Saturday with another home game, hosting Shaw at 2 p.m.
