Blanche Ford – Meritorious Service
Blanche Ford ends her first year serving as the Livingstone College Athletic Department’s Administrative Assistant. She joined the staff in 2006, after returning by to Livingstone College after serving 28 years of service as administrative assistant for the athletic department and the physical plant department before joining the staff at WSSU where she served in the same capacity, Administrative Assistant for 10 years. At Winston-Salem State University her duties include numerous tasks including, but not limited to: budgeting, travel arrangements, game day operations, ticketing and athletic department planning.
Ford attended Salisbury Business College and Livingstone College. She currently resides in Salisbury, NC and has two children, Tamara and DeVaughn as well as three grandchildren, Ciera, DeVante and DeVaughn.
She was named the WSSU Athletic Department’s 2004 Weston Spirit Award winner as the employee who consistently goes above and beyond her job responsibilities for the betterment of the athletic department.
