Erica Vanessa Moore-Carter is in her 15th year as Volunteer Throws Coach at Livingstone. Erica has always had a passion for track and field. Aside from Livingstone, Carter also coached throws for the Salisbury Speedsters and Rowan Express AAU track teams.
Professionally Erica is employed with the City of Albemarle Department of Public Housing as Housing Assistant Program where she has been for 13 years. Carter is also employed as a bus driver for Livingstone where she has done so since 2001.
Carter graduated from Livingstone College with a BA in Sociology in 1997 and received a master’s degree from Grand Canyon in Public Administration with an Epiphysis in Government and Policy.
Carter is quoted as saying “My overall dreams are that I might have made a difference in one of my student athlete’s lives, that it might be a positive reinforcement to assist them with their growth. I just want to be to them as my Coaches and those who assisted me along the way where to me.”
A resident of Salisbury she is married to a wonderful spouse by the name of Jeffrey Carter, we have one daughter Dasia E. McGill, who resides in Charlotte NC
