Salisbury, NC- If the Livingstone College men's golf team is as confident as its head coach Andre Springs is, they will have the right mental outlook for the upcoming tournament.

The team will participate in the 2015 CIAA Golf Championship this Thursday-Friday (April 16-17) in Charlotte, NC. The event will take place at the par 72, 6,717 yard Larkhaven Golf Club.

The Blue Bears will hope to ride the winning wave going into the tournament, as they are coming off of a victory at the Golden Bulls Invitational this past Monday.

A team of Phillip Harrison, Telvin Walker, Stephen Washington, Lenorris Williams, and Harry Standberry under the direction of head coach Andre Springs shot a remarkable combined score of 305, securing their first place finish.

Phillip Harrison led the Blue Bears in first place, with a combined score of 73, followed by teammate Telvin Walker who finished in second with a total score of 76.

Stephen Washington was not far behind tying for third place with a total score of 77.

Lenorris Williams placed fifth (79), followed by Harry Standberry who rounded up the team coming in sixth (81).

The Blue Bears look to come out victorious as they continue to play the Livingstone way, with "Excellence".
